AplusB network

To leverage the vast innovation potential emerging from our sublime, excellence-driven universities and research institutions, the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology founded in 2002 what we call Austria’s oldest and most impactful incubation network today: AplusB – Academia plus Business. Ever since then, the five AplusB incubation centres have been acting as a catalyst in the process of transforming research-driven innovation projects into internationally successful businesses.

Backed by strong funding partners under the lead of Austria Wirtschaftsservice, and a closely linked network including not only almost all of Austria’s universities, but also a great number of industry players, the network has achieved an impressive track record so far: Almost 90% of the over 700 supported start-ups are still active and successful.
