Sambly is a deep-tech circular startup developing a patented fastener that replaces screws and adhesives in electronic and industrial products. The technology enables products to be opened with a magnet in seconds using a controlled magnetic field, allowing damage-free disassembly for repair, reuse, and recycling. By embedding disassembly directly into product design, Sambly turns circularity into a core design principle for each product. The solution addresses one of the main barriers of the circular economy: costly and time-consuming disassembly, which often leads to premature disposal and e-waste.
Sambly reduces disassembly time, lowers repair and recycling costs, and supports compliance with emerging right-to-repair and circular economy regulations. Sambly follows a scalable B2B licensing model and works with manufacturers to integrate the technology without capital-intensive production.
Pilot projects with industrial partners are currently underway. The interdisciplinary team combines expertise in engineering, product design, and sustainability to enable circular economy by design.
