Fireside Chat – The Future of Food: Sustainable and Delicious

Time: 17:30 - 21:00 (+Networking)

Place: Lendhafen, Lendkai 17, 8020 Graz

Panellists: Astrid Radkohl (YFlavour) and David Haider (Fermentfreude)

Moderator: Craig Matthews, Science Park Graz

The food system is entering a period of enormous change. From alternative proteins and precision fermentation to new approaches to nutrition, the way we produce, flavour, and consume food is all being fundamentally reimagined.

The challenges are equally significant. A growing global population, climate change, pressure on natural resources, changing consumer expectations, and the need for more resilient supply chains are forcing us to rethink some of the most basic assumptions about food. At the same time, consumers want food that is healthier, more sustainable, affordable, convenient — and, importantly, still tastes good. Behind all this innovation lies a simple but enormous question: How to feed a growing population in a sustainable way?

With this Fireside Chat, we want to create space for an open conversation with our valued Alumni startups about where the food system is heading, what is driving change, and what the future of food could actually look like.
