Econutri's innovative bio-process was developed to utilize CO2 and produce sustainable proteins with green hydrogen as an energy source. Our special microorganisms grow in a highly efficient gas fermentation process and finally form a biomass consisting of high quality proteins. These can be further processed for various purposes. Applications are animal feed, human food or even cosmetic or technical proteins.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced downstream process scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing downstream processes for the production of our innovative protein products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize microbial biomass recovery from fermentation broth 

• Develop and optimize downstream processes for the purification and recovery of proteins from microbial biomass 

• Perform process validation and scale-up studies 

• Develop and implement process control and quality systems 

• Work closely with upstream process scientists to ensure seamless integration of processes 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement and efficiency gains 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends in downstream processing 

Requirements: 

• PhD or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field

• Experience in downstream processing in the biotech field 

Expected skills: 

• Strong understanding of protein purification techniques 

• Experience with process scale-up, process validation, and process control strategies 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills 

• Experience with regulatory requirements and compliance
