At GATE Space, we develop green, chemical in-space propulsion solutions for the NewSpace economy. As part of a small team of equal engineers, you will contribute to our success by developing and optimizing the propulsion subsystem of the GATE Jetpack and the GATE Thruster.

Your primary tasks: 

• Development, optimization and design for manufacturing of the propellant feed system of the GATE Jetpack
• Assembly and integration of the propellant feed system of the GATE Jetpack
• Selection and sourcing of components off-the shelf of the propellant feed system of the GATE Jetpack
• Systems engineering and system arrangement of the propellant feed system of the GATE Jetpack
• Analysis of the mechanical loads (static/dynamic/vibrations) and the thermal environment of the GATE Jetpack
• Layout and sourcing of the propellant tanks of the GATE Jetpack
• Design for manufacturing of the propellant tanks of the GATE Jetpack
• Qualification and acceptance testing of the propellant feed system of the GATE Jetpack

• Hands-on mentality
• Good knowledge of CAD software
• Good knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics

Beneficial qualities:

• Applied engineering experience (e.g. internships, job experience, personal or team projects)
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping and hardware-based design
• Basic knowledge of Python
• Basic knowledge of CFD
• Basic knowledge of electronics
